Sweet home Chicago.
Our Name
Names are important. They say something about who we are, the communities in which we belong, and our place in the world. They hold deep personal, cultural, familial, and historical significance.
Leap comes from an innate understanding that in order to create change in one’s life, one must muster some courage and be willing to take a “leap of faith.” For if nothing changes… and we keep doing the same things, the same way we’ve always done them… then nothing changes! And… who can resist the opportunity to have a cute frog on one’s website!
Therapy gives us new tools and techniques that enable sustainable change to happen. It increases self-awareness and authenticity to gain clarity about feelings and behaviors, joys and disappointments, and connection with others. When therapy is chosen, the door to curiosity is opened. While opening that door and inviting someone into your story takes courage, it is the first step toward moving forward.
Chicago is our home, our city, our kind of town! Despite its challenges, it has shaped us in profound ways. Our perspectives are formed and expanded by living in community with those who call Chicagoland home. We embrace the rich cultural tapestry of races, ethnicities, religions, and traditions as a beautiful mosaic of our world. Chicago is an important part of us!
Our Values
We strive to fully embrace each of our values while acknowledging that we too are growing on our journey. Whether a client or employee, our goal is to create a welcoming environment where each person is fully embraced and supported as they discover and live out their best and most genuine version of self.

Our Approach
Each of our therapists embrace our values and are committed to providing a safe, confidential, and welcoming space. Each one approaches treatment differently, however, based on their training, license, personality, and the modalities of therapy in which they specialize. We encourage you to learn more about our therapist’s training, interests, and specializations by reading the biographies posted on the Therapists page.
Therapy is most effective when there is a good match between the client and therapist. While our therapists are trained to listen, ask relevant questions, and use effective modalities to support you on your journey, therapy requires active client engagement and effort, both during and after each session. One might think of learning a new instrument, and the practice it takes to become proficient. While we can guide you, we cannot do the work of therapy for you.
Our therapists complete a rigorous course of study, thousands of hours of clinical work, and pass a state exam through their licensing body before being recognized as a fully licensed mental health professional. Each therapist also engages in continuing education, case consultations, and ongoing supervision to further develop their skills and methods of care.
